From the people we've worked with
Ahmad Razif
Founder, Shah Alam
We did the Growth Direction Workshop about three months ago. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect — I've sat through enough consultancy presentations that end with a long slide deck and not much useful. This was different. The session stayed focused on our actual situation and the one-pager they gave us at the end has been on the wall in my office since. We've made two meaningful changes based on it.

We're in our second quarter of the Strategy Partnership now. The monthly sessions have been valuable, particularly because Nadia is direct in a way that most external advisors aren't. She doesn't just agree with what you say. That's what you need when you're building a team and trying to stay honest about what's working. The shared workspace took a bit of getting used to but it keeps everything in one place.

We brought Voxhaven in for a Full Operating Review ahead of a restructuring exercise. The interview process was more thorough than I'd anticipated — they spoke to people across the company, including people in roles I hadn't expected them to include. The report was detailed but not padded. Each recommendation had a reason and a suggested owner. We've actioned most of them in the four months since.

My co-founder and I were at a point where we couldn't agree on the direction for Q3. We did the workshop specifically to get an outside view and some structure into the conversation. Darren was good at holding the session without steering it toward his own view — which is a skill I'd underestimated before. We left with a clearer picture and a written note we both agreed on.

CEO, Bangsar South
Three quarters in now with the Strategy Partnership. There have been sessions where I walked in thinking I had a clear picture and walked out realising I didn't. That's a compliment, not a complaint — the value is in the honest reflection, not the affirmation. Response time between sessions has been good. I'd recommend this for any growing company where the founder is making all the strategic calls alone.

Farid Hakim
Director, Damansara
The Operating Review was more work than I expected — they asked a lot of us in terms of time from the team. But the output was thorough and the recommendations were specific. They didn't just tell us things were broken, they explained why and what to do about it. We're using the report as a working document, not something that sits in a folder.

How the work has played out in practice
A logistics company in Shah Alam with 35 staff had grown quickly over three years but had no shared picture of what the next phase should look like. Leadership disagreed on whether to expand geographically or focus operations on existing corridors.
Growth Direction Workshop followed by two additional sessions. We worked through the financial case for each option with the founding team and surfaced the operational dependencies that hadn't been fully mapped.
The team aligned on a phased approach — operations consolidation first, geographic expansion in Q1 of the following year. Six months on, consolidation had freed up 18% of operational capacity and the expansion is proceeding on schedule.
"We had the same arguments for eight months. Three sessions with Voxhaven and we had a direction we could both commit to."
— Co-founder, logistics company, Shah Alam
A retail services company in Petaling Jaya preparing for its first external funding round needed to tighten its operating narrative and fix several internal process gaps that were visible to anyone who looked closely.
Full Operating Review across five weeks. Interviews with twelve staff members across three departments. Process mapping of the customer journey and the internal fulfilment cycle.
Report identified seven actionable gaps, four of which were addressed before the funding conversation started. The company subsequently secured a bridge investment round. The advisory report was shared directly with the incoming investor's team.
"The report did some of the pre-due-diligence work for us. The investor's first comment was that our operations looked more structured than most companies at our stage."
— CEO, retail services company, PJ
A family-owned professional services firm in Damansara was entering a leadership transition — the founding generation stepping back, the next generation stepping up. Both sides needed a structured way to navigate the handover without damaging the business.
Three quarters of Quarterly Strategy Partnership, working simultaneously with the outgoing principal and the incoming director. Sessions were a mix of joint and separate depending on what needed to be discussed.
Transition completed without client attrition. The new director took full operational control at the end of Q3. Revenue in the first full quarter under new leadership was up 11% over the same period the prior year.
"We probably would have figured it out eventually on our own, but it would have taken longer and been more damaging. Having a structured outside view shortened the difficult part considerably."
— Incoming director, family-owned professional services firm, Damansara
